Our client, a Vienna-based SaaS provider, is seeking an experienced backend developer who is passionate about modern technologies and thrives in designing scalable, robust systems. This is an opportunity to make a real impact on product evolution while working with cutting-edge tools and architectures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your responsibilities:<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  • Build and maintain robust SaaS backend services using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and FastAPI, with exposure to Go, Java, or NestJS<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Apply sophisticated architectural patterns including Domain-Driven Design, modular monoliths, microservices, and hexagonal architecture<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Design and implement event-driven systems with asynchronous messaging (RabbitMQ or Kafka)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Drive performance improvements through system refactoring, SQL optimization on PostgreSQL, and API efficiency enhancements<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Champion code quality by writing tested and documented code, conducting thorough code reviews, and fostering knowledge sharing across the team<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Embrace modern development tools, including AI-assisted coding and automation frameworks<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Partner cross-functionally with product, frontend, and QA teams in a Scrum\/Kanban environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Your profile:<\/h2><\/div>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    • 10+ years of professional backend development experience with deep expertise in Python and Django<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Proven track record with additional backend languages or frameworks (Java, Go, Node.js\/NestJS)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong grasp of architectural principles: Domain-Driven Design, modular monoliths, microservices, and hexagonal architecture<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Hands-on production experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Solid background in RESTful API design and integration; FastAPI experience is valued<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Strong PostgreSQL proficiency, from schema architecture to query optimization<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Excellent English communication; German language skills are advantageous<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Self-driven learner with genuine interest in exploring new technologies and methodologies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
